BKU (Tikait) to begin agitation from tomorrow
Gurugram, August 18
The Bhartiya Kisan Union (Tikait) will start its agitation from August 20 in the case of a builder trying to grab land from farmers of Ghamroj village in Gurugram.
Union leader Rattan Mann said last Tuesday, after leaders staged a protest at the Ghamroj toll plaza, the administration was warned that if the farmers were tortured again, the state government should be ready for a fight.
“After a discussion in the meeting of the morcha, we are ready to give a befitting reply to the government for this disgusting oppression. The farmers will block the toll plaza and will also start a ‘jail bharo andolan’. We will fight this dictatorship,” Mann said.
He added that the builder was making a malicious attempt to usurp the land of farmer Sushil Kumar of Ghamroj village. The victim had lodged a complaint in February 2023, but the police did not take action. — OC
