Disgruntled BJP leader Karan Dev Kamboj has left for Delhi to meet Haryana election co-incharge Biplab Kumar Deb, seeking a party ticket from either Radaur or Indri assembly constituency. This comes after Kamboj was denied a ticket from Radaur, despite his preparations to contest from there.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had met Kamboj on Friday, assuring him that he would speak to national president JP Nadda and other senior leaders to discuss his ticket. However, Kamboj is unhappy with the decision and has resigned from his posts as president of BJP OBC Morcha, Haryana, and other party positions.

Kamboj held a panchayat with party workers in Radaur, where they urged him to contest the election. He stated that he would demand a ticket from either Radaur or Indri and would be forced to contest as an Independent candidate if denied.

BJP has given the ticket to Shyam Singh Rana from Radaur, who had previously won from the constituency in 2014 but was denied a ticket in 2019 and joined INLD. Kamboj claimed that party workers were unhappy with Rana’s selection, leading to the panchayat being held.

Kamboj, a former MLA from Indri and Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, is determined to contest the election, either with a BJP ticket or as an Independent candidate.
