BJP worker shot at in Faridabad
A BJP political activist was shot at while sitting at a stall set up by the party to assist voters in obtaining slips around 7.30 pm on Saturday. The victim, identified as Rajnish told the police that as voting concluded and he was discussing some matters with friends, two youths arrived on a motorcycle. They asked him to step aside and began arguing with him about his involvement in the poll campaign.
One of the assailants reportedly pulled out a pistol and fired at Rajnish, injuring him in the back. The attackers fled the scene, and Rajnish was rushed to the hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable. Rajnish’s family has been associated with the BJP for the past 14 years, according to sources. ACP Vivek Kundu said a case had been registered.
