BJP top brass reviews preparations for Bima Sakhi Yojana launch on Dec 9
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch “Bima Sakhi Yojana” from Panipat on December 9. It was stated by the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini after a meeting with the party leaders, MLAs, and ministers at the party's district office “Karna Kamal” on Saturday.
Former CM and Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP Haryana in-charge Satish Poonia, co-in-charge Surendra Nagar, state BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, and several senior party leaders and public representatives reviewed the preparations about the rally of PM.
The scheme is a step of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) to boost the participation of women in the insurance sector while providing them with new career opportunities.
“We held a meeting with party leaders and discussed the PM’s visit. All women from the state have been invited. The BJP will give a grand welcome to the PM,” said CM Saini while interacting with mediapersons after the meeting.
On being asked about the elections to civic bodies, Saini said these would be held at the earliest. “Our membership drive is going on. The civic bodies elections are our priority and these will be conducted at the earliest,” said Saini.
When asked about allegations of bias by certain officials during the election process, CM Saini said, "If any official acted beyond legal processes during the elections, and if complaints are received, these will be thoroughly examined."
On the issue of liquid thrown on former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, he referred to it as unfortunate and said such incidents should not happen. Earlier, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave tips to party leaders. Prior to holding the meeting, Khattar and Saini, along with Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, several ministers, MLAs and other party leaders attended the marriage of Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand’s daughter Devna and extended their wishes to all family members. Later after the meeting, Khattar also watched ‘The Sabarmati Report’ with the party workers and leaders.
