BJP to kick-start poll campaign from K’shetra tomorrow

The BJP is set to kick-start its campaign for the state Assembly elections with a ‘Mhara Haryana Non-Stop Haryana’ rally to be held in Kurukshetra on August 4.
State BJP chief and Rai MLA Mohan Lal Badoli said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini would launch the campaign with the rally at Thanesar, and the party would organise rallies in all 90 Assembly segments for which the programme had already been decided.
Interacting with mediapersons in Sonepat, Badoli said election incharge Dharmedera Pradhan, co-incharge Biplab Kumar Deb, state incharge Satish Poonia, co-incharge Surendera Nagar, former Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Ministers Rao Inderjit Singh and Krishan Pal Gujjar, national secretary Dr Sudha Yadav, OP Dhankar, RajyaSabha MP Subhash Barala, Captain Abhimanyu and several other senior leaders would be present in the rally.
With the Thanesar rally, the state BJP chief said, the ‘Pravas’ programmes of party leaders at the district level would be started and he himself would travel to all districts along with Union ministers, MPs and other senior leaders.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders, including former Karnal MP and convener for the rally Sanjay Bhatia, party general secretary Krishan Bedi, MoS and Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha and district chief Sushil Rana, held a meeting in Kurukshetra for the preparations and assigning duties for the rally. Later, leaders reached the Thanesar grain market where the rally will be organised.
Sudha said: “The party’s poll campaign will begin from the land of Mahabharata. The BJP has ensured equal development of all segments and we are confident that the party will win the elections.”
Dhuman Singh Kirmach, state executive body member of the BJP, said “With the slogan ‘Teesri Baar BJP Sarkar’, the central and state leadership will boost the morale of the party workers through the rallies. The party workers have been called upon to reach at the rally in large numbers and start holding door-to-door campaign to make people aware of the achievements and policies of the BJP government.”
Meanwhile, Kurukshetra BJP chief Sushil Rana, said “Party leaders today met for the the Vijay Shankhnaad rally on August 4. We have visited the venue to check the preparations and duties have been assigned. All efforts are being made to make the rally historic and send a message across the state that the BJP is going to form the government for the third time in Haryana.”
