Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that he is avoiding investigation agencies and losing credibility. The leaders claimed that Kejriwal’s recent claims of bribery under ‘Lotus 2’ were baseless and intended to divert attention from his allegedecorruption.
During a press conference, Sachdeva and Bidhuri expressed the astonishment of Delhi residents at Kejriwal’s actions. Sachdeva began by presenting tweets from Kejriwal and a statement by minister Atishi, highlighting the CM’s reluctance to undergo police investigation into their allegations. Sachdeva questioned Kejriwal’s conduct, emphasising that despite accusations against BJP leaders, Kejriwal is now evading both ED summons and Crime Branch notices. The Delhi BJP president suggested that Kejriwal’s evasion of investigations suggests a lack of evidence to support his claims.
He stated, “Kejriwal has no evidence, and the allegation of Lotus 2 is a fabricated story to divert attention from his corruption.” Sachdeva raised inquiries about Kejriwal’s role as a former government official, asking whether, as the issuing authority, he received or provided written acknowledgments to notice recipients. He asserted, “Kejriwal, being a former government official himself, should clarify if the official issuing notice takes receiving or gives receiving.”
Bidhuri reiterated that if Kejriwal and Atishi fail to substantiate their claims of BJP buying legislators, an FIR should be filed against them.
