Rohtak, August 23

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s wife Asha Hooda has stated that the BJP government has ruined Rohtak in the last 10 years.

Addressing a conference of the Congress Seva Dal and Congress women and youth workers in the city today, Asha remarked that the state’s residents would celebrate Diwali with a Congress government.

“Sitting Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra should win by the biggest margin in the state,” she said while addressing the conference.

She said it was unfortunate that there were no jobs for the youth in the state, nor any safety for the women. “I am a mother and my heart trembles to see that the youth is getting pulled down by drugs,”

she stated.

Asha Hooda said a government which could not provide clean drinking water to people, keep the sanitation system in order or maintain law and order had no right to stay in

power.

“In the forthcoming elections, the fight is to protect the honour of our sisters and daughters and save our future. The people of Haryana are unhappy with the 10 years of BJP misrule and have made up their mind to oust the BJP government from the state,” she said.

Addressing the Congress workers, Batra said Rohtak was short of basic amenities, but it would be rebuilt as soon as the Congress government comes to power. He said people had to struggle for 10 years for clean water, good roads, streetlights and other basic amenities.

“The Congress government had decorated Rohtak like a dream, but the current government has destroyed it. It is high time for all of us to unite and fight against the misrule of the BJP government and bring back the Congress to power,” said Bharat Bhushan Batra.
