BJP renews membership

New Delhi: BJP National General Secretary Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, accompanied by MP Yogendra Chandolia, renewed the party membership of Prof Vijay Kumar Malhotra, a senior leader and founding member of the BJP. Reflecting on the party’s origins, Malhotra highlighted the BJP’s growth from its early days at the Ajmeri Gate office. Agarwal praised Malhotra’s dedication as integral to the BJP’s rise as the world’s largest party. Chandolia noted that this renewal aligns with BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda’s initiative to honour senior leaders who shaped the party’s success.

New posts in Prisons Dept

New Delhi: L-G VK Saxena on Thursday approved the creation of 3,247 additional posts in the Prison Department of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), Raj Niwas officials said. These new positions which span across Group A, B, and C categories such as jail, technical and ministerial in the prisons department and Saxena directed it to be filled within the next six months, they said. The posts will be spread across the three major jail complexes in the capital—Tihar, Mandoli, and Rohini. Key positions to be filled include those of Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Head Warder, Head Matron, Warder, Section Officer, Accounts Officer, Assistants and Drivers. Saxena also directed that the restructuring of the Prison Cadre be carried out efficiently and that timely promotions for staff be ensured to keep them motivated.
