Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today said the BJP was playing a crucial role in taking the country forward and party workers should induct maximum people into the party as part of the membership drive to further strengthen it.

While launching the membership drive in the Ladwa Assembly segment at Kanipla village, the CM said “Over the past 10 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has touched new heights of development and strengthened its position in the world. The country is going forward due to the policies of the Prime Minister. The BJP has played an important role in making the country strong and powerful. Every member of this party is working to take the policies of the government to the common people to provide them the benefits. The Prime Minister's vision is that every person should be made a member of the party so that every citizen can contribute to the development of the country. Therefore, an appeal is being made by the BJP that every citizen should accept the membership of the BJP.”

There is a target to make more than three lakh new members join the party in Kurukshetra. The CM on this occasion targetted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said the Congress leader supported the people who talked about causing harm to the nation.

While addressing the residents of the village, the CM said the state government has released a budget of Rs 35 crore for the development projects of the Ladwa Assembly segment. The budget was released between March and November this year. There is no dearth of funds and the government will ensure development of the Ladwa segment.

CM Saini announced a grant of Rs 21 lakh for the development works and a new power house of 33 KV in the village. A budget of Rs 5 crore would be spent on the power house project and the work would begin soon, he said.

Meanwhile, the CM directed Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM) to get streets constructed in front of 100 square yard plot, get the pending development works in the village completed soon and focus on the quality of the development works.

Later, addressing a gathering at Gurukul Kurukshetra on the occasion of Arya Mahasammelan, the CM said: “To make India the world leader again, the young generation needs to adopt the teachings of Maharishi Dayanand in their lives. The young generation should be given values along with good education. This work is being done very well in Gurukul Kurukshetra as well as other Gurukul institutions."

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and several BJP leaders were present on this occasion. The CM said “Arya Samaj founded by Maharishi Dayanand has done unprecedented work for religion, society and the nation. It is very important to give the youth the knowledge, right direction, good values, awareness of their duties, cultural heritage and information about shouldering responsibilities.”
