BJP MLAs seek early solution to civic problems in Jammu
BJP MLAs, led by Leader of Opposition in J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma, called upon Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Commissioner Secretary to the Government (Housing & Urban Development Department) Mandeep Kour, on Thursday.
Sunil Sharma, along with Narinder Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Surjit Singh Salathia, Yudhvir Sethi, Shakti Parihar, Devinder Kumar Manyal, Rajiv Jasrotia, CP Ganga, Pawan Gupta, Gharu Ram and other BJP MLAs were part of the deputation.
A statement released by the party said, “BJP MLAs pressed upon the senior government officials to take stock of the grave situation that has arisen due to the strike by the sanitation workers. They asked them to immediately intervene and reach a conclusive decision to end the stalemate, giving a satisfactory response to the workers and to end their strike to ensure uninterrupted services to society.”
BJP MLAs also pressed upon the authorities to include local allottees and West Pakistan refugees in the beneficiary list of ‘Prime Minister Kissan Samman Nidhi’.
They pointed out that the PM Kissan Samman Nidhi is already being given to the PoJK displaced persons and the benefit should now be extended to the local allottees and the West Pakistan refugees.
