BJP minority morcha protests outside Kejriwal’s residence
The Delhi BJP Minority Morcha staged a protest outside AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on Feroz Shah Road on Tuesday, seeking MLA Naresh Yadav’s dismissal from the Assembly.
Addressing the protesters Virendra Sachdeva, president of the Delhi BJP, said: “Two-year imprisonment for Naresh Yadav means he should be immediately dismissed from the Assembly. But, Arvind Kejriwal remains completely silent”.
“Kejriwal is protecting an organised gang —Satyendra Jain, involved in financial crimes, Naresh Balyan, engaged in extortion, Naresh Yadav, instigating religious frenzy, and Vaibhav Kumar, known for disrespecting women,” said Sachdeva.
Vijender Gupta, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, also voiced his concerns. Gupta accused the Delhi government of failing to take action against Yadav despite having control over the Punjab police.
Arvinder Singh Lovely, another BJP leader, criticised the AAP for using the Muslim community as a mere vote bank.
Anis Abbasi, president of the Delhi BJP Minority Morcha, who led the protest, said: “Muslims of Delhi will unite and vote against Kejriwal in the upcoming Assembly elections.” The protest would continue till Naresh Yadav was expelled from AAP.
