BJP leaders inspect market to address farmers’ issues
A group of BJP leaders, led by Rohtash Jangra and Manish Singla, visited a grain market here today to address the problems farmers are facing. The visit revealed that the purchase of crops was delayed because the paddy had higher moisture content. Jangra told the District Food Supply Officer (DFSC) to speed up the process, as the delays were causing difficulties for farmers.
Farmers said they were unhappy because their produce wasn’t being bought on time. They also complained that the grain bags were being overfilled, adding to their troubles.
Jangra said farmers were an important part of society and they should not face any problems when they sell their crops. He said Haryana was one of the few states that was buying 24 crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
Many officials and workers were present during the visit and strict orders were given to ensure that farmers don’t face more delays or issues in the future. The visit aimed at improving the process and reducing the challenges that the farmers were dealing with in the market.
