The city BJP today held a protest march near the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 over Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s ‘divisive and provocative’ comments on the condition of Sikhs in India during his recent US visit.

The march, which started from Kamalam, the BJP office in Sector 33, was led by president of the party’s city unit Jatinder Pal Malhotra. Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon was also present. The protesters raised slogans against Rahul Gandhi.

“The immature and irresponsible statement of the Leader of Opposition is highly objectionable. He should apologise to the nation,” said Malhotra.
