Former Chief Minister and Congress stalwart Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the BJP government has become a labour contractor and is ‘hell-bent’ on ending reservation, employment and Constitution.

“Two lakh government posts are lying vacant in the state. At the same time, the BJP government itself has become a contractor and is recruiting youth in Kaushal Rozgar Nigam without reservation, without merit, without pension and on meagre salary.

“In these recruitments, the BJP has looted the reservation of Dalits and Backward Classes. After the Congress government is formed, this system will be rectified and deprived classes will be given full benefit of reservation,” said Hooda while addressing a public meeting in Baproli village here.

BJP govt has become contractor

He said Haryana, especially south Haryana, have suffered the most due to the Agnipath scheme. “Earlier, 5,000 youth from the state used to join the Army every year, but now only 250 are able to get recruited. Everyone has compared the work of this government with our government, and everyone is saying that the Congress is coming to Haryana and the BJP is going,” he said.

Appealing to the people to vote for the Narnaul Congress candidate Rao Narendra Singh, the former CM said, “Send Rao Narendra as MLA to Chandigarh and have a share in the coming state government. The Congress is in favour of a big participation of Ahirwal in the government,” he claimed.

Hooda said a lot of work was done in Narnaul during the then Congress regime, but the BJP government did nothing here in the past decade. “The Congress had worked to take this area forward in the field of education by setting up a Central University in Mahendragarh. Many educational institutions in south Haryana, including IGU and Sainik School in Rewari, are the contribution of Congress,” he said.

Congress candidates from Nangal Chaudhary Manju Chaudhary and former MLA Radheshyam were also present. Meanwhile, the Congress spokesman claimed that JJP district president Dr Manish Yadav, BJP media coordinator Mohit Jindal joined the Congress during this public meeting.
