BJP a party of disciplined workers: Aseem Goel
Former minister of state and observer for Kurukshetra district for the party’s membership drive Aseem Goel today said that the BJP was a party of disciplined workers and discipline was the strength of the party.
Goel held meetings with party leaders and workers in all four Assembly segments (Shahabad, Ladwa, Thanesar and Pehowa), reviewed the ongoing membership drive and called upon the party workers to get maximum people enrolled in the membership drive.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “The BJP is the only party that reviews and renews its membership. In Haryana, the party has set a target to make 50 lakh members. It has already crossed the 12-lakh mark on Friday. Every booth has been given a target to induct 100 people each during the special two-day drive being organised on November 23 and 24 by the party as part of the membership campaign. Kurukshetra district has a target of enrolling 2 lakh members, the party workers have been working enthusiastically and I am hopeful that the district will enroll more members than its target.”
Reacting to media queries regarding the rejoining of BJP leaders and workers who had left the party in the elections, Goel said, “The party high command will take a decision. The BJP is a party of disciplined workers and discipline is the strength of our party. The state chief has already made it clear that there is no place for rebels in the party. There is no dearth of good party workers. New members are being inducted and sometimes new people work more than those who had left the party. During the elections, we have seen many new people working hard for the party and playing an important role in forming the BJP government.”
About the ongoing farmers’ protest at the Shambhu border, former Ambala City MLA Aseem Goel said, “The farmers have given a fresh call for Delhi march and the governments in Haryana and Punjab will take appropriate steps. No one is stopping farmers from going to Delhi. They can use trains, buses, flights and even other routes to go to Delhi, but I fail to understand the objective behind sticking to one route only. Farmers are our brothers and the BJP government has formed various welfare policies in the favour of farmers. No other government in the centre or state government has formed so many policies for farmers. Some people are working on their agendas in the name of agitation.”
