In response, Sidhu accused Majithia of being a drug lord. Following this, Akali MLAs stormed the well of the House.

As Majithia said the Enforcement Directorate had initiated an inquiry into the incident, Sidhu raised the issue of the ED inquiry into Majithia’s alleged links with drug dealers.

The Akalis staged a walkout on the issue, demanding Sidhu’s resignation.

Leader of Opposition, Harpal Singh Cheema, said the accused in such cases never got caught. He demanded that the report in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on those involved in drugs should be made public.
