The Faridabad police have arrested a man in Patna who allegedly threatened to blow up a private hospital in Faridabad four days ago.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Ankit Paswan, is a resident of Patna in Bihar. He reportedly admitted that he had made the call out of frustration over the death of his girlfriend’s mother, aiming to gain her sympathy.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Crime, Aman Yadav stated that on November 3, a bomb threat call was made to a private hospital in Sector 8, Faridabad. Acting on orders, Sector 30 Crime Branch in-charge Anil Kumar, Sector 65 in-charge Jagvinder and Uncha village in-charge Narendra worked together to arrest Paswan.

“The mother of the girl he was set to be engaged to had been treated at this hospital before passing away in another facility. Angered by her death, he issued the threat to impress the girl. We are taking him into custody to recover his mobile phone and SIM card, and further questioning is underway,” said ACP Yadav.
