BJP MP from South Delhi, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, praised PM Narendra Modi for introducing a significant new initiative under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme aimed at supporting veterans over the age of 70. Bidhuri highlighted that the decision is set to benefit around 6 crore families by addressing health concerns for veterans.

“PM Modi had promised this to the public before the Lok Sabha elections and now he has made it a priority,” he said. “Veterans will no longer be a burden on their families due to age-related health matters. Particularly for families with limited financial resources, this new facility will provide much-needed relief.”

Bidhuri also criticised the Delhi government for its failure to implement the Ayushman Bharat Scheme within the city. “The Kejriwal government has neglected to roll out this scheme in Delhi, denying the public their rightful benefits,” he added.

The new provision is expected to improve healthcare access for elderly veterans, ensuring that their needs are met without placing undue strain on their families.
