Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP at a public meeting in Chhara of Beri Vidhan Sabha. Addressing a gathering on Wednesday, Hooda alleged that the BJP has become a “shop of lies,” selling nothing but hatred and confusion from the moment it begins its daily operations.

“The BJP has ruled Haryana for 10 years, yet its leaders fail to mention any real achievements in their speeches. Instead, they work to break the brotherhood of the state for their selfish motives,” said Hooda. He further criticised the party for spreading misinformation through its platforms, rallies, and social media, calling it the clearest sign of the government’s failure.

Hooda urged voters to support Congress candidate Dr Raghuveer Singh Kadyan from the Beri Assembly constituency. “In this election, on one side, we have the BJP making false promises, and on the other, the Congress, which delivers on its commitments. We stand by our pledge to regularise contractual workers recruited by Kaushal Rojgar Nigam, just as we have made thousands of temporary employees permanent in the past,” Hooda said.

On the issue of Dalit rights, Hooda criticised the BJP for undermining reservations for the Dalits and backward classes through the Nigam. “When the Congress forms the government, we will ensure two lakh permanent recruitments based on merit and transparency,” he promised.

Hooda also addressed the political landscape, noting the direct contest between Congress and BJP in Haryana.

Hooda’s rally marked a significant push to unify Opposition votes as the election approaches, reaffirming Congress’ commitment to transparency, unity, and the protection of workers’ rights.
