Ben Stokes, fellows spend time on greens
Chandigarh, February 29
Enjoying a break before playing the final test match against India at Dharamsala, members of the England cricket team spent hours at Chandigarh Golf Club (CGC) today.
The last match of the five-match series is slated to start on March 7 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), Dharamsala. The players, led by captain Ben Stokes, played a round of golf at the CGC greens. England wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes, along with off-spinner Shoaib Bashir and others, were also seen.
In the previous longer break during the second and third Tests, the team had travelled to Abu Dhabi.
The members of the England team are likely to stay in Chandigarh till March 3 before leaving for the final test venue. The Punjab Cricket Association is hosting the England cricket team. The players are expected to visit the newly built Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur (New Chandigarh) – which is going to hosts its first ever mega event during the Indian Premier League on March 23.
