Senior Congress leader and former Haryana Home Minister Subhash Batra has alleged the hacking of the electronic voting machines (EVMs) used in the assembly election at the behest of the BJP regime in the state.

Batra has demanded a high-level inquiry by a sitting Judge of the Supreme Court into the matter.

“When the counting of votes began in the morning, the Congress was ahead on 65 seats, while BJP was leading on 17 seats when the votes cast through ballot papers were counted. However, as soon as the counting of EVM votes began, the trend took a U-turn. It raises doubts on the counting process and calls for a thorough probe,” maintained Batra.
