Representatives of the public shared their views with senior officials on the occasion. They also gave suggestions to deal with the drug menace. There were some complaints following which Kaushal referred them to officials concerned. The DIG exhorted the people to provide information about places where drugs were being sold.

“If a police official is not serious in arresting smugglers and drug-couriers despite knowing about their existence, action would be taken against him or her. A comprehensive list of properties of smugglers is being prepared. Such properties will be confiscated. A list of proclaimed offenders is also being prepared,” said Kaushal.
