The district is witnessing caste-based discrimination cases frequently. In the Shivratri fair, a case came to light when upper caste people had forced four youths of the Scheduled Caste to sit separately during a ‘dham’.

Deputy Commissioner Rugved Thakur said the administration would conduct a 60-day campaign. Every family would be encouraged to take a pledge against the evil of caste-based discrimination. The message will be delivered door-to-door. A letter will be sent to every family in the district.
