UNA, SEPTEMBER 30

The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board has appealed to underprivileged residents, who do not have electricity connections, to apply through the Chief Minister’s Roshni scheme to get financial benefits on installation charges.

In a press release issued by board PRO Anurag Parashar, it has been stated that five categories of persons are eligible to apply under the scheme. They include those with an annual income less than Rs 35,000, those with electrical load of less than 2 kilo watt and those belonging to the BPL, Antodaya or priority listed families. Persons fulfilling any one of the categories are eligible under the scheme, stated the press release. — OC
