Following Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s orders regarding maintaining discipline at government establishments, designated personnel are conducting surprise inspections of premises falling under their jurisdiction. Educational institutes, municipal council offices, revenue offices and healthcare offices were among establishments under focus.

The employees who are required to visit other offices as part of their duty have been asked to mark their presence in the parent department by making entries in movement registers duly approved by their seniors.

Ludhiana Assistant Commissioner Kritika Goyal inspected the Civil Hospital and Bhagwan Mahavir Senior Secondary School in Raikot today. She said the exercise is being conducted to caution government personnel against the casual approach towards their duty.

Kritika Goyal, who is holding the additional charge of Raikot SDM, said she visited some offices to get first-hand information about the routine functioning of various departments.

Executive Magistrate Vishavjit Singh said doctors and paramedical staff at the Civil Hospital were advised to take adequate measures to prevent the spread of waterborne and vector-borne diseases during the rainy season. Authorities were advised to coordinate with municipal council personnel to undertake fogging at localities prone to proliferation of dengue and malaria vectors.

Ahmedgarh tehsildar Major Harminder Singh Gholia said maintenance of discipline at offices falling under the jurisdiction of Ahmedgarh subdivision was being monitored under SDM Gurmit Kumar Bansal’s supervision. Nothing unusual was reported during the inspections conducted today.
