AAP focuses on spreading party’s policies

While AAP is focusing on disseminating party’s policies and issuing Delhi Chief Minister and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee cards, the Congress and BJP leaders are focusing on holding meetings with community leaders and local councillors and sarpanches to assess the situation and make them join their respective parties.

From attending religious to social events, attending tea meetings and inducting new members in the party, the aspirants and party leaders are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters, and make their presence felt in their Assembly segments.

The BJP has also got a couple of rallies held on the occasion of the 70th foundation day celebration of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh and Dalit Samman Swabhiman Samaroh in Kurukshetra to show its strength and create an atmosphere in its favour over the last four days.

BJP’s state executive committee member Ravi Battan, said, “The party is running a membership drive to induct new members in the party and also focusing at the booth level to further strengthen its position. Senior leaders have been assigned duties to meet people and make them aware of the party’s policies and achievements. The party is in a strong position and the BJP will form its government for the third time in Haryana.”

AAP state spokesman Sumit Hindustani who is eying the party’s ticket from Thanesar Assembly constituency, said, “The party has launched Kejriwal’s five guarantees for Haryana and now we have started distributing the guarantee cards to the people as Kejriwal’s promise. The party has promised free electricity, mohalla clinic, Rs 1,000 per month aid to every woman, employment and free education. The door-to-door exercise will help the party in making its presence felt strongly in the constituency and strengthen our position.” Meanwhile, the Congress has been focusing on inducting new members in the party, especially those who had been associated with the BJP in the past.

Congress leader Ashok Arora, said, “We are meeting people to make them aware of the party’s policies and plans. Daily a number of people are joining us and it is an indication that there is strong wave in favour of the Congress in the state. Outgoing councillors of the Thanesar Municipal Council and their supporters from various wards who have been associated with the BJP have joined us over the past few days. People are not happy with the functioning of the BJP government and they want to bring a change.”
