Addressing a public gathering in Bhuna on late Sunday evening, Punia promised that he would dedicate his five years to the people. Referring to the waterlogging problems in Bhuna township which causes flooding during the rains, he said that during ten years of its rule in the state, the BJP government had not bothered to take a single initiative to resolve the problem.

Dr Punia expressed relief that the final countdown for the BJP government’s exit had begun after the announcement of election dates by the Election Commission.
