State Congress president Pratibha Singh did not like it at all when she was given a message to cut short her speech at the Bilaspur function today.

Looking upset when Bumber Thakur, a former Congress MLA from Bilaspur, passed on the message to wind up her speech, the Congress president snapped "aap nahin chahte mein jyada bolu?" without even bothering to cover the mike.

Making her displeasure absolutely clear over being interrupted, she said that she did not want to make a big speech but just wanted to talk a bit about the organisation. Even as she left the stage, she reprimanded Thakur saying, "You shouldn't do this, I know how much I need to speak," she said. The incident could reignite the speculations about cold vibes between the state party chief and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu.

While concluding her speech, Pratibha Singh said that the government will be strong only when the organisation is strengthened. "Our AICC state in-charge Rajeev Shukla has also said that the organisation has to be strengthened," she said.

In her speech, Pratibha Singh said the government had done a good job in the last two years. At the same time, she came down hard on the BJP saying that the Centre did not help the state to cope with the natural calamity.
