‘Ashish Sharma victim of BJP conspiracy’

Hamirpur, July 6

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said the BJP candidate was a victim of the conspiracy of the BJP leaders who wanted to deprive Hamirpur of development and from being power centre of the state.

Addressing election meetings at various places in the constituency near here today, Agnihotri said earlier, the forces within the BJP stabbed former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, then undermined Anurag Thakur and now have started chasing Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to meet their vested interests.

He said former CM Jai Ram Thakur humiliated the BJP leadership in Hamirpur and kept development in abeyance. He said the entire political drama was conceived by Jai Ram Thakur to fulfil his objective of becoming the CM by hook or crook.

Agnihotri said the Congress had fielded Dr Pushpinder Verma again as its candidate due to his integrity.

He added that voters of the constituency must ask the BJP candidate about his resignation from the Vidhan Sabha. He said people have the opportunity to bring development to the constituency as the CM also hails from the district.

PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh said the CM would do anything for the people of his district, but for that people should also strengthen him. He added Verma’s victory would bring development and welfare to the district. The Congress candidate also requested people to give him a chance to serve them.
