An informative and interactive workshop on ‘Creative Drama and Art in Education’ was organised for the faculty of the school. The session was conducted by Dr Chandrashekhar, a renowned theatre actor, director and playwright. The session emphasised on integrating acting techniques and characterisation in making learning interesting for the students. The main aim behind the session was to make applied theatre an integral part of the core education system and organisational culture in India, where the tools of creative and dramatic exploration lead to a world of more positive and respectful interactions. The workshop not only equipped the teachers with high order thinking skills, use of dialect methodology in teaching, incorporating problem solving techniques in making learners proactive but also gave them an insight as to how to explore different levels of understanding of the concepts used in everyday teaching and learning.
