Senior BJP leader Vijay Sampla today said AAP leaders hardly cared to visit the family of Jaswinder Singh of Nadampur village in Bhawanigarh, who died by suicide on November 5 over non-procurement of his paddy produce.

He said, “AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal only does politics in the name of farmers. In reality, he has nothing to do with farmers’ woes. If he actually is a pro-farmer leader, he should have visited the family of the deceased farmer.” Sampla added that AAP leaders had promised welfare of all sections of society during the 2022 Assembly elections, which they failed to fulfil in the past two and a half years. He said drug menace was at its peak under the CM Bhagwant Mann-led government and wrong policies of the state government were purshing farmers to the brink. He said focus of the AAP government was more towards election rallies than addressing the burning issues.
