Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu tests positive for COVID-19

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday reported testing “positive” for coronavirus infection.
“I had undergone Covid test RT-PCR and have tested positive for Covid19. I am asymptomatic and feeling healthy. However as per SOP and safety of others, I am self-isolating myself and request everyone who came in contact with me to adhere to the SOP,” Khandu said in a tweet.

Jambey Tsering, who is attached to the chief minister as Public Relations Officer, said Khandu went to Delhi on September 12.
“He got himself tested in Delhi only and right now he is in isolation at the Arunachal Bhavan in Delhi,” Tsering said.
Khandu (41) is the third chief minister to test positive for COVID-19. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar tested positive for COVID. Both Chouhan and Khattar recovered from the infection.
