Students and staff members welcomed the highest wicket-taker of the 2024 T20 World Cup, Arshdeep Singh, with enthusiasm as the open vehicle carrying the World Cup winner rolled into the campus. He was welcomed with fireworks and drumbeats during the mega felicitation of the World Cup winner. NCC cadets and security personnel presented a guard of honour as Arshdeep arrived at the campus.

Accompanied by his father Darshan Singh, mother Baljit Kaur and sister Gurleen Kaur, the lanky bowler waved at fellow students and university staff members from the vehicle.
