The Army Training Command, Shimla, organised a ‘Greenathon’ at St Thomas’ School with an aim to enlighten the students about the importance of environmental conservation, plantation and cleanliness. On the occasion, plants were also distributed among students of the school.

This year, the Territorial Army is celebrating its platinum jubilee and the programme was organised by 118 Battalion Infantry Grenadier Regiment.

Colonel Navin Kumar of Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Shimla, was the chief guest at the event. During his address, he motivated students to conserve the environment.

Subedar AP Tripathi informed the students about the importance of nature, plantation and cleanliness, while teachers of the school, Surendra Sharma and Salig Kumar, told them about the 'Swachhta hi Seva' campaign.
