A four-lane cable-stayed bridge — the world’s highest — has opened to traffic in China, connecting two southwestern provinces and reducing travel time by three quarters.

The world’s tallest bridge (measured in terms of height of its own structure, not the distance to the ground) remains France’s Millau viaduct at 343 metre. AFP
