Dehradun, January 2

The Tehri Hydro Power Plant (THPP- 1000MW) of THDC India Limited was honoured with the title of Best Maintained Project by the Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) at SCOPE Convention Centre here today.

Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Union Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, felicitated THDCIL in the presence of Chairman, Central Electricity Authority and Central Water Commission. PPS Mann, ED (Tehri-Complex), HL Arora, ED (OMS, QA & Safety), and Rajeev Vishnoi, ED (Design), received the award on behalf of the THDCIL.

The CBIP had organised a symposium on ‘Challenges in Development of Water Resources, Power and Renewable Energy Sectors’ as part of the CBIP Day celebration. Awards under different categories were also given to organisations working in water resources, power and renewable energy sectors.
