After Mughal-e-Azam comes the next big magnum opus from India, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, the country’s next big labour of love.

The Gajanana song from Eros International and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani was launched recently in Pune, at the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex, Balewadi Stadium.

Keeping in line with the larger-than-life, massive scale of the film, the makers launched the ambitious song with the biggest human formation of a mosaic image of Lord Ganesha, curated from the Gajanana song.

Given that Bajirao Mastani is the kind of film that comes once every 50 years, the first song from the film was given a fitting launch, with over 5,000 students from across the country gathering together to create the formation. Joining the students was Ranveer Singh aka Bajirao.

This went down in the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest launch done for a song by a formation of such enormity, speaking volumes for the scale and magnitude of the film’s promotions.
