The Asian School lifted the trophy of the 26th All-India Afzal Khan Basketball Tournament defeating Welham Boys’ School 64-59 in the final played at the Doon School here today. Chief guest Colonel Vivek Sharma, Commandant, Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), gave away the prizes to the players. Suryansh Kainthola of the Doon School got the Most Promising Player award while Shiv Sabharwal got the Most Valuable Player award.—TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
