SGGS Chandigarh and Khalsa College Ludhiana win Cross Country

SGGS College, Sector 26, and Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana, won Panjab University’s Inter College Cross Country Championship in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
In the men’s category, SGGS College won the championship by scoring 40 points while GKSM Government College, Tanda, finished second with 122 points. DAV College, Sector 10, scored 128 points and Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11, finished fourth with 227 points. Ranjit of SGGS College was adjudged the best individual athlete as he completed the race in 44 minutes, 35.7 seconds, while Jasvir Singh of GKSM College, Tanda, finished second in 44:46.9.
Makhan Singh of JC DAV, Dasuya, finished third in 44:56.9 and Jagdev Singh of SGGS College finished fourth in 45:16.4. In the women’s category, Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana, secured 19 points to win the championship.
GTB Khalsa College for Women Dasuya, claimed second spot with 32 points and KHSM Government College, Tanda, finished third with 48 points. Guru Nanak Girls’ College, Ludhiana, claimed fourth spot with 74 points. Seema Devi, JC DAV College, Dasuya, was declared the best athlete as she finished first in 18:16.1.
Amandeep Kaur of KCW, Ludhiana, finished second in 19:14.1. Yamini and Lovejot Kaur of KCW College, Ludhiana, finished third and fourth in 19:29.9 and 19:41.1, respectively.
