KV, Birpur, beat Doon Valley School 5-4 in a close match

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Birpur, and Army Public School, Birpur, won their respective matches in the 7th ONGC Ram Bahadur Chhetri Memorial Football Tournament played at the BR Ambedkar Stadium in Dehradun on Friday.

In the first match, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Birpur, defeated Doon Valley Public School 5-4 in a tie breaker. Kabinder, Nandan, Ashoutosh, Sarthak and Prashant Roka scored a goal each for KV, Birpur, while Ashok Thapa, Vaibhav Chauhan, Sarav Vedval and Sachin Gurung scored a goal each for Doon Valley School.

In the second match, Army Public School, Birpur, defeated Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIP, 3-0. Sumit, Milan and Pawan scored a goal each for Army Public School, Birpur.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, IMA, will play against Army School, Clement Town, in the first semifinal match while Kendriya Vidyalaya, Birpur, will take on Army Public School, Birpur, in the second semifinal tomorrow.
