Cricket league for alumni from April 1

Twenty teams, comprising old students from 1988 to 2016 batches, will be vying for top honours in the inaugural edition of the Kundanite Premier Cricket League to be organised by the Kundan Vidya Mandir Alumni Association. The league will be held on April 1, 2 and 9 at the school ground.
This was informed by Vikas Jindal, president of the association, at a press conference held at the school here today.
Matches will be played between 7 am and 6 pm on the knockout basis. A tennis ball will be used during the league. On the opening day, seven matches will be played while six matches will be held on April 2 whereas semifinals and the final will be played on April 9.
“The winners will be given attractive prizes. The purpose of organising the league is to provide a platform to old students of the school to meet each other and share their experiences,” said Jindal.
Former cricketer Yashlpal Sharma will be the chief guest of the opening day. Punjab Ranji players Karan Goel, Geetansh Khera and Nikhil Chaudhary, along with Dr Avtar, a specialist in sports medicines and currently associated with the Indian Olympic Association, will be among other prominent former students who will be seen in action during this tournament.
