Ayaan wins Punjab junior golf meet

Chandigarh, April 16

Ayaan Gupta won Champions Punjab Junior Golf Challenge at Forest Hill Golf Club today. The 11- year-old won the title in the Category C with a gross score of 235.

He started playing at the age of five and has won more than nine international tournaments. He participated in IGU sub-junior tour, Albatross junior tour, little masters junior tour and other local tournaments. He had also participated in Ultimate US Kids Junior. He recently won IGU North Zone sub-junior tournament, held in Forest Hill Golf Club, by 14 shots. This year, he will be playing in the Junior Tour in Europe, North America and Asia.

“This is my second win in this category this year. I am happy that things have gone right so far. I will be playing in the US Kids Junior and will also participate in the Open Golf Kids Championship in England later this year,” said Gupta.

He practises at the Chandigarh Golf Club under coaches Akshay Sharma, Sandeep Verma and Irina Singh.
