The All India Congress Committee on Monday appointed Supreme Court lawyer Ajay Pal as the chairman of the state Human Rights Department of the Haryana State Congress Committee.

Ajay Pal, son of Justice Pritam Pal (former Lokayukta of Haryana and Punjab state), has served as Additional Advocate General for the state of Haryana in Supreme Court and also served as standing counsel for the state of Punjab.

As a counsel he represented Punjab Assembly also. He appeared in a couple of well known cases, i.e. Moga sex scandal and against former CM Prakash Singh Badal.

Ajay Pal was a part of the Haryana Youth Congress and served as vice president Haryana in past.
