The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday named Tejpal Singh, a youth wing leader of the party, as its nominee from Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat.

Tejpal (32) is a PhD on jail management and hold masters degree from Panjab University in police administration.

He was earlier with the Students Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU). Tejpal was active in student politics during the PUCSC elections in 2006.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
