A case was registered at Islamabad police station under Sections 354 (assault and use of criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-A (sexual harassment), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word or making gesture intended to insult modesty of a woman) of the IPC and Sections 67 and 67-A of the Information Technology Act.

The principal of a CKD-run school had accused Chadha of misusing his position and “compelling her to have physical relations”. “When I refused, he threatened me,” the woman said. She added that Inderbir threatened her on the phone.
