Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Sukhpal Khaira said today he would need just 24 hours to bring out the truth behind the shady mining contracts bagged by four employees of Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh’s company.
He claimed to have details of bank accounts, from where money was routed before being deposited for e-bidding of sand mining sites.
“I wish that I be given the charge of the State Vigilance Bureau for a day. Within a day, I can bring out the facts and implicate all those involved in the ‘benami’ contracts, money laundering and corrupt practices,” he told the media here today.
The Bholath MLA, who was with the Congress earlier but did not go well with Rana Gurjit, alleged, “The minister is lying that Amit Bahadur is not his cook and that of Capt Randhawa, who managed his poll campaign. By saying that the four persons, who bagged mining sites, were his former employees points to minister’s admission.”
Khaira said AAP workers would gherao the residence of CM Capt Amarinder Singh in Chandigarh on May 30. He shared a copy of his complaint that he had submitted to the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau. The complaint read, “This is a serious matter of corruption which requires investigation by the VB.”
