10 peddlers nabbed

The Khuyiansarwer police in the Abohar sub-division today claimed to have seized 5 kg poppy husk from Hakam Singh, Chhinder Singh and Balwinder Singh, while Jagdeep Singh of Moga was nabbed with 1,530 habit-forming sedative tablets.
Budh Parkash Singh and Balbir Singh of Salemshah village (Fazilka) were held under the NDPS Act as the police nabbed them with 16 kg poppy husk near Dholipal village on the Abohar-Hanumangarh highway. The police also seized 21 kg poppy husk, 87 gm opium and Rs 4.58 lakh on account of drug sale proceeds today in a raid at a hotel on the Sriganganagar-Bikaner highway. Owner Ganpat Ram was arrested.
The police seized 2 kg opium by intercepting bikers Sarabjit Singh of Srivijaynagar and Ram Niwas Bishnoi of Bikaner on the highway. Amritpal Singh of Chak 12FA village was nabbed with 200 sedative tablets.
