Dr Abdul Kalam Postgraduate Fellowship
The University of South Florida is offering Dr Abdul Abdul Kalam Fellowship for Indian students to pursue PhD degree programme at the university. Subjects in which the students can apply for are: Applied Anthropology, Applied Physics, Business PhD programs, Cell Biology, Microbiology & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering, Engineering, Criminology, Integrative Biology, Marine Science and Psychology
Details: Tuition fee for a total of up to four years. A stipend of $18,000 over the nine months of the fall and spring semesters ($2,000 per month) for up to four years. The Provost’s Office will pay a nine month stipend for the first year with the department/college contributing a teaching/research assistantship for up to an additional three years,
Eligibility: Applicant must be graduates having exceptional academic credentials and a passion for the STEM fields of study.
Applicants must have submitted a USF graduate application and established a university ID number at the USF graduate admissions portal.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree Scholarships
Applications are invited for fully funded scholarships for the next academic year of the Erasmus Mundus AquaCulture, Environment and Society Joint Master’s Degree Scholarships starting in September 2017. The programme is aimed at students from all over the world. This full-time, 2 year course is specifically targeted at highly talented international students with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the fields of aquaculture, marine science, marine biology, biology, environmental or social sciences, who wish to advance their skills. Scholarship can be taken in United Kingdom, Crete and France
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the fields of environmental or social sciences. The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree at the time of application for the scholarship, i.e. by February 17, 2017.
- An appropriate background could include; Aquaculture-related studies, Marine Science, Aquatic Biology, Biology, Environmental Sciences or Marine Resources, Environmental Economics and Environmental Policy.
- English competence equivalent to 6.5 Academic IELTS (with a minimum of 6.0 in all four components).
