Patanjali CEO among India’s richest
Haridwar: Patanjali CEO Acharya Balkrishna has been listed by Chinese business magazine Hurun as one of India's richest businessmen. He is ranked 25th with an estimated property worth Rs 25,000 crore. “This is an unlisted company and if it has been placed in the list, it is a big thing,” said Balkrishna. He holds a 96 per cent stake in Patanjali Ayurved, while Baba Ramdev is the face of the Haridwar-based consumer products firm. ANI
Raghuram Rajan returns to academia
New York: Having returned to his ‘ultimate home’, RBI ex-Governor Raghuram Rajan has resumed his role as ‘Distinguished Service Professor of Finance’ at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and would teach international corporate finance there in winter of 2017. Rajan’s ‘course schedule’ will explore the challenges of corporate finance and investment in an integrated global economy. PTI
