Ludhiana: Adarsh Public School, Kapil Park, Ludhiana, organised Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with much enthusiasm. The event commenced with a motivational speech by Yashpal Bangia. He urged teachers and students to become a part of the programme. All the participants took a pledge on cleanliness and launched a cleanliness drive. 

Victims of 9/11 remembered

Green Land Convent School remembered the victims of 9/11 terrorist attack on World Trade Center on its 17th anniversary. Students, teaching staff along with Principal assembled to pay homage to the departed souls. Everyone lighted candles and observed a prayer. Students sent a message of unity and brotherhood and spoke on terrorism and its negative aspects.

Graduation ceremony held  

Sacred Soul Convent Senior Secondary School, Dhandra Road, Ludhiana, organised a graduation ceremony for tiny tots. The celebration commenced with the lighting of a lamp followed by hymns to evoke blessings of the Almighty. Principal Navjot Kaur Takkar highlighted vision of the school, role of parents and teachers in students learning process.

Training workshop for teachers 

Blossoms Convent School, Sidhwan Bet Road, Jagraon, organised a motivational and classroom management workshop for teachers. Sumit Bhardwaj from Faridabad was the resource person and taught teachers simple techniques for the overall development of students in classrooms. Principal Dr Amarjit Kaur Naaz said such workshops play an important role in learning new techniques which are essential for teacher and student relation. 

Event held to conserve water

A walk to conserve water was organised at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir by tiny tots. The event was held to teach kids about importance of water. They were also asked to shun straws and tips were given to clean waterbottles. Principal Neelam Mittar urged students to stop careless and excessive use of water.

Orange Day celebrated

Students of Ryan International School, Dugri, celebrated Orange Day. Tiny tots came in orange attire, brought tetra pack of orange juice and enthusiastically made paper craft exhibiting their creative skills to enhance recognition of orange colour. — TNS
